About the Place
Located in the heart of Norcross, Mega Taco stands as a beacon of authentic Mexican cuisine that captures the vibrant flavors of Guadalajara’s street food culture. This isn’t your average fast-food joint; every dish here tells a story of tradition, crafted with fresh, high-quality ingredients and rich, bold sauces that resonate with genuine Mexican heritage.
Walking into Mega Taco, you're greeted by a lively, family-friendly atmosphere where the staff’s warm professionalism complements the sizzling dishes. The menu demands attention—not just for its variety but for its authenticity, often presented in Spanish, reflecting the deep roots of the recipes. From the moment your order is placed, freshness is evident; the food comes out steaming hot, bursting with complex, bright flavors. Their green salsa stands out with a perfect balance of tang and mild heat, while the red sauce delivers a fiercer kick for those seeking a spicy thrill.
Among the highlights, the Milanesa Steak offers a generous portion that melds tender, seasoned beef with crisp, golden breading—a dish that lingers long after the last bite. The Camerone a la Diabla is equally unforgettable, marrying succulent shrimp with a fiery, well-rounded sauce. Then there are the tacos, which transport you directly to a bustling street stand beside a Pemex station in Guadalajara—authentic and unapologetically delicious.
What strikes me most about Mega Taco is not just the exceptional flavor or the reasonable pricing but the unmistakable sense of place it creates. It’s a dining experience anchored in genuine Mexican culinary tradition, enriched by the lively service and the subtle details—from the clean, comfortable setting to the ample parking that makes every visit convenient.

“ Fantastic spot in Norcross. This is the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The staff is stacked. The food is hot and fresh. Orders are brought out quickly. Their sauces have amazing flavor. This is always a stop for me when I go to ATL ”
“ Not your fast food Mexican. Very authentic to the point you have to read the menu in Spanish. ”
“ Great food, reasonable prices. Only wish they served Iced tea. ”
“ Hands down the best Mexican food restaurant in the area. I've lived here over 40 yrs & this place is consistently great food (No ground beef), great staff, excellent prices, very clean, family environment & pleanty of parking. Word of advice Don't bring a jealous type female here because frankly the the women while completely professional are also smoking hot. Everyone I've brought here has loved the place & realy spoke highly of their specialty margaritas. If you just want tacos don't waste your money elsewhere they hav e a special on tacos every week but I forget which day call em. Dinner will run you about $30 for a couple. ”
“ This is one of my top Atlanta restaurants for authenticity. Food quality cannot be beat. The tacos are just like you are standing by the side of the road in Guadalajara eating at a stand next to a pemex. The waitresses are all very nice to look at and there are contractor vans so you know it's real. The prices are authentic Mexican prices too and it's hard to spend $30. LOVE IT. ”
